I’m Ali Chhaib, a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, with 25 years of international experience in leadership, cultural communication, and training. I was born in 1978 in Belgium into a migrant family.

My parents moved from Morocco to Belgium in the 1960s, building a new future. Growing up, I experienced a rich blend of cultures; rooted in my Amazigh-Arab heritage at home while forming close connections with Flemish friends at school.

As one of the few individuals with a different cultural background in school, I quickly learned to adapt and embrace diversity. My love for languages led me to study modern languages: English, French and German alongside my native Amazigh, Arabic & Dutch (the official language of Flanders).

I later pursued university studies in Ghent (Belgium) studying Expedition, Distribution & Transport; equipping me with valuable insights into global logistics and international business.

Living just 50 minutes from the Netherlands and 30 minutes from France, I was naturally exposed to cross-cultural interactions early on, which helped me develop cultural intelligence and adaptability. At 21 years old, I took the leap to explore the world and started an exciting international career.

I spent most of my professional journey in tourism, working for leading travel brands like Sunair, Thomas Cook, and the last 17 years with TUI. Throughout my career, I held leadership roles in customer experience, team management, and crisis communication, always working in international teams that celebrated cultural diversity.

Today, I combine my Amazigh Arab roots, Western education, and global experience to inspire organizations to embrace inclusion. Through keynotes, workshops, and trainings, I empower teams to break barriers, create safe spaces, and build inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive.

Diversity is not just my work: it’s my life. I met Evgenia, my Greek Orthodox partner, in Tunisia in 2002, and together we’ve lived and worked in 7 countries during 16 years: Greece, Spain, Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt, Croatia, and Malta. These experiences enriched my language skills, allowing me to now speak fluent Greek and Spanish, in addition to my existing Dutch, English, French, German, Arabic (Moroccan Darija) and Amazigh languages.

Our multicultural journey continued with the birth of our wonderful son, Feres, in 2019. At home, we embrace a multilingual environment. I speak Arabic to Feres, my wife speaks Greek, we communicate at home in French, and at school, he learns in Dutch. This vibrant mix reflects our commitment to inclusion and the power of diversity in our personal lives.

I’ve also traveled to over 80 destinations on business trips, further strengthening my ability to connect across cultures, beliefs, and perspectives.
